"Wonder Woman Pose"

The last two years at school, I have taken numerous health classes.  In my wellness class, we stress overconfidence and feeling good about ourselves, along with sharing these values with others.  For most people, traditional confidence enforcements, such as, "I'm awesome," does not give people power.  

This is why Amy Cuddy, a speaker for TED Talk, believes in the Wonder Woman way, which is better known as "Power Posing."   I am a believer in this method as well.  This pose can change your body in ways to make us feel more confident, positive,  and become more goal-oriented for the future. The Power Pose is very easy to add to one's daily routine. This can be done prior to any big event like a job interview, sales pitch, or even in the gym .  This can help clear your mind and focus more on the large event at hand.  

The Wonder Woman pose can be done by  standing with your feet apart, hands on your hips, and your chin tilted upward, then standing in this position for two minutes.  Performing this stand will have a direct link to one's mind. This will make the person feel more confident.  Amy states, "other people respond in kind, unconsciously reinforcing not only their perception of us but also our perception of ourselves."
